Jerusalem is most loved by the Jews and the Arabs that it is disputed who is going to control the city. The city of Jerusalem is mentioned many times in the Bible, but there is a song, Looking for a city written by Oliver Cooper. Looking for a city, Where we’ll never die, There the sainted millions, Never say good-bye,There we’ll meet our Savior, And our loved ones too,Come O Holy Spirit, All our hopes renew. The Bible speaks of a new city coming down out of heaven, The New Jerusalem. Hebrews 13:14 For here have no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Heb. 12:22 Unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. Revelation 18:16 says: Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! What city is like unto this great city. Rev. 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, John in the book of Revelation was privileged to visual that great city is to come. Here are some scriptures to read, Rev. 21:14, 16, 18, 21, 23. Rev. 22:14, 19. I want to see that beautiful, beautiful, city some day. Listen to the song.

In this day and time; everything so top-sy-tur-vy our country needs prayer. We need to pray for our President and everyone else needs prayer. Our God answers prayer; In the Bible it tells us to pray one for another and to ask God for our petitions. How we need to pray more to God in these last days before the coming of the Lord; that souls will be born again and the backslider will come back to God before it is too late. The Bible says much about prayer James 5:16 Pray one for another. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Mark 11:24 What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land. What a wonderful promise! Jesus didn’t promise us a bed of roses, but Gods people will be ridiculed by people that are serving the devil. Math 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. Jesus was hated and persecuted by his people the Jews. Jesus in Gethsemane needed to pray before his death on that cruel cross. Oh the love of Jesus! There is great power in prayer. Job 42:10 says, And the Lord turned the captivity of Job , when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. There are so many scriptures in the Bible that speaks about the heart. It is so very important that we are prepared to meet God in the sky of if we have to go the way of the grave. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have your heart right with God. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Matthew: 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. This scripture points out if your heart is on spiritual things or on the things of this world. The things of this world are going to pass away but looking after the things of God are eternal; eternal life in heaven. Matthew 15:8 says The people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Some pastors preach in their churches with holes in their jeans; such a disgrace for the christian church. The Bible teaches a separation between those who live for Jesus and those who don’t live for him. I’ve noticed in churches that you can’t see a difference between so called christians and non christians. Matthew 22:37 says Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Don’t let the devil entice you to do wrong things in you’re life. He’s out to destroy you. John 13:2 says: And super being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, to betray Jesus. I love this scripture in John 14:1&2 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Heaven is so wonderful I don’t want to miss it.

Jesus is tenderly calling his own people to a closer walk with him. We see the events happening in the Middle East that the prophecies of the bible are coming to pass. Yet we see the lukewarmness of the christians; the Bible predicted would happen in the last days. There is a song written by Fanny Crosby “Jesus is calling” Jesus is tenderly calling thee home. Why from the sunshine of love wilt thou roam Farther and farther away? Jesus is waiting, O come to him now. Waiting today, Come with thy sins, at his feet lowly bow. Come, and no longer delay. Jesus is pleading, O list to his voice. Hear him today; They who believe on his name shall rejoice; Quickly arise and away. Jesus is tenderly calling today. Backslider please come back to Jesus today. He really loves you. Jesus has made Heaven so very wonderful for his people. I really don’t want to miss Heaven. It breaks my heart to see so called christians going to show houses and dance floors and drinking wine. I can’t see my Jesus going to these places. Acts 7:59&60 says: And they stoned Stephen calling upon God and saying Lord Jesus receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. Such love Stephen had. Romans 11:29 says For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 2 Peter 1:10 says Give diligence to make your calling and election sure. 2 Corinthians 6:17 says Wherefore comae out from among them; and be separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. Jesus speaks of a separation between the christian and non-christian; the sheep and the goats. Make Heaven your home at any cost. Jesus is tenderly calling today Song Softly and Tenderly

The world is about to experience history’s biggest event; the coming of the Lord Jesus. Luke 21: 34 states, Take heed to yourselves, lest at anytime your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Billy Graham once said that if God did not judge America for its sins, He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. Only one family, the family of Lot, heeded the warning and fled in time. The rest of the citizens of those infamous twin cities had laughed the warning off. They loved their sins too much. That night homosexual lovers snuggled comfortably into bed together throughout both cities . But, by dawn the next morning, They and their beds were ashes. And so were the beds and bodies of those in the city who were not homosexuals, but who had turned a blind eye to the perversion for so long. Jeremiah wrote: The Lord said to his people, “Stand at the crossroads and look . Ask for the ancient paths and where the best road is. Walk in it, and you will live in peace. “But they said, No, we will not!” Then the Lord appointed watchmen to listen for the trumpet’s warning. But they said, “We will not listen.” So the Lord said “Listen you nations, and learn what is going to happen to my people. Listen, earth! As punishment for all their schemes I am bringing ruin on these people, because they have rejected my teaching and have not obeyed my words. ( Jeremiah 6: 16-19 )

There is one event that I believe is coming very soon and that is Jesus is coming soon. And that behooves us to be ready for is coming. The Bible speaks of the time He will return again. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 & 17 says For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God: and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Oh Glory! Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon, Many will meet their doom, Trumpets will sound, All of the dead shall rise, Righteous meet in the skies, Going where no one dies, Heaven-ward bound.

I just recently heard the song Please Forgive me and was impressed to write on forgiveness. There is a beautiful example of forgiveness in the Bible when Jesus was treated the way He was; especially after He was arrested and during the crucifixion time. Even one of his disciples Judas betrayed his Master. The High Priest accused him of blasphemy. The crowd of that day said, He is guilty of death. Then they spit in his face, and others smote him with the palms of their hands. Peter Jesus closest disciple denied his Lord 3 times before the rooster crowed. When Peter realized what He had hall I do done, He repented and went out; wept bitterly. Mathew 27: 4 states Judas realized I have sinned in that I have betrayed innocent Blood. They said What is that to us? see thou to that. Mathew 27: 22 Pilate saith unto them What shall I do then with Jesus. They all say unto him,L rt him be crucified. Mathew 27: 25 His blood be on us, and on our children. After they had mocked him, ridiculed him; placed a crown of thorns into his skull; whipped him 39 times with a whip. After all this bad, bad hatred of his people, Jesus could say in Love; Luke 23: 34 Father forgive them for they know not what they do. What compassion our Saviour had for all mankind. We will never know the Love Jesus had. I’d like to play the video Forgive Me.

There are some churches that teach you can be saved by works; but the truth of the matter is we as Christians are saved by grace; unmerited favor we didn’t deserve salvation; but Jesus paid for our salvation at Calvary. Oh what a Savior that would go to the cross bleed and died for our sins. Oh Thank God!

This song is written in reference to the time Jesus comes back to this earth the second time.Jesus came the first time as a babe in a manger; but the next time Jesus will come as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. My former pastor Bro. Norman Dillon loved this song, I think it was his favorite song. After this day comes to pass, For the Christians who have dedicated their life to Jesus, There will be no more sorrows no more burdens, no more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there; And forever will be with the one who died for me, What a day that will be glorious day that will be.
